Under Operation Sindoor, the UP Police has formed a 'Special 6 Team', which will monitor social media for 24 hours. This team will keep an eye on anti-national content, fake news and suspicious activities. Amid ceasefire violations by Pakistan, UP Police is taking strict action to ensure India's safety.
Following Operation Sindoor, there is ongoing tension between India and Pakistan. Meanwhile, individuals seeking to disrupt the environment are attempting to exploit the situation. There is a continuous effort from Pakistan to disseminate false information.
In response, the Indian government chose to shut down 8,000 accounts on X the day before. Subsequently, the Uttar Pradesh Police is conducting cyber patrols on social media.
Pakistan is persistently breaching the ceasefire by launching fighter jets, drones, and missiles. In response, the Indian Army is effectively retaliating. Amidst this tension, certain individuals are attempting to create discord. Some people are expressing support for Pakistan on social media, engaging in anti-national activities. Consequently, the UP Police have implemented stringent measures to monitor these actions.
Media sources indicate that two incidents have occurred in Meerut, prompting the UP Police's social media monitoring team to register a case. High-ranking UP Police officers stated that these actions compromise India's integrity and security, posing a potential threat to national safety. In response, a 'Special 6 Team' has been established to conduct continuous surveillance of social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Telegram, and WhatsApp.
The UP Police has announced that any form of digital support, whether humorous or intentional, that opposes the country's sovereignty, unity, and security will be unacceptable. Expressing pro-Pakistan sentiments, promoting its flag, or attempting to foster an anti-national narrative will now be treated as a criminal offense, and strict legal measures are being enforced against those involved.
