Haryana govt rolls out enhanced Pension Scheme for Elderly

Enhanced pension scheme in Haryana to provide Rs 3,500 for senior citizens

The Haryana government has introduced a monthly pension scheme of Rs 3,500 for the state's senior citizens. Chief Minister Nayab Singh announced this initiative to ensure a self-reliant and dignified life for the elderly residents of the state.

The program will assist millions of senior citizens, enhancing their quality of life. Previously, the pension amount for the elderly in Haryana was lower, but the government has now raised it to 3500.

This decision will offer financial relief to the state's elderly. This initiative not only offers economic support but also demonstrates the responsibility of society and the government towards them.

Eligibility:

Certain key eligibility criteria have been established to access the benefits of this scheme. The applicant must be a permanent resident of Haryana. Men need to be at least 60 years old, and women must be at least 58 years old. The family's annual income should fall below a specified threshold, which will be announced by the government shortly.

Application Process:

The application process for this scheme has been simplified and transitioned online to encourage more participants. Applicants can now submit their forms via the Haryana Government's official website at https://pension.socialjusticehry.gov.in.
