Union Minister and JD(U) leader Rajiv Ranjan Singh declared on Tuesday that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will contest the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections under the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Under Nitish Kumar's leadership, the NDA will participate in the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections.
The NDA coalition in Bihar performed strongly in the Lok Sabha elections. Alongside the BJP, the NDA in Bihar comprises JD(U), LJP (Ram Vilas), and Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular). A few months ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha election, Nitish Kumar overthrew the Mahagathbandhan government and reestablished an alliance with the BJP to form a new government.
The BJP is an important partner of the NDA in the state. The BJP holds 84 seats in the state assembly, whereas the JD(U) has 48 seats. State BJP leaders have declared that the assembly elections will be fought under the leadership of Nitish Kumar.
JDU will collaborate with the NDA in the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections. In Bihar, the NDA will also compete in the 2025 elections under Nitish Kumar's leadership. Lately, Arvind Kejriwal has started expressing his fondness for the residents of Purvanchal. Nonetheless, he has a history of using derogatory language towards the people of Purvanchal and Bihar.
