Rajasthan's weather has undergone a significant shift. With the western disturbance weakening and the north wind prevailing, night temperatures are expected to rise, offering residents relief from the intense cold starting today.
On Saturday, cold waves and fog caused temperatures to drop in numerous cities. In Sikar, Jaipur, Pilani, and Ajmer, the minimum temperature fell by 4 degrees. Rain is likely in 11 districts of Bharatpur and Jaipur divisions starting Monday. Heavy rainfall is anticipated on December 26 and 27, with a chance of hail in certain areas.
Meteorologists predict that the impact of cold air in the state will lessen on Sunday, relieving the intense cold during the morning and evening. Over the next week, nighttime temperatures are expected to rise in many cities.
In many areas, the lowest temperature can range from 8 to 14 degrees. Over the past 24 hours, Barmer recorded the highest temperature of the day at 26.2 degrees. The peak temperature was observed in Jodhpur at 25.8 degrees Celsius, with Chittorgarh at 24.8, Churu at 23.4, Jaisalmer at 21.4, Kota at 23.5, Jaipur at 23.9, Ajmer at 24.2, and Udaipur at 22.8 following.
Meteorologists predict that active western disturbances will affect North India on December 25 and 26. This system will impact Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh.
Once this system is activated, the northern wind will cease, and the influence of the eastern wind will grow stronger.
