Officials announced on Thursday that the Uttar Pradesh government intends to build a 300-bed luxury hostel in Prayagraj to accommodate pilgrims and tourists for the MahaKumbh Mela 2025.
Officials have announced that the Uttar Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation (UPSTDC) will enhance its tent-based deluxe accommodation by establishing a 300-bed deluxe hostel in the Mahakumbh Mela area. This extensive initiative, set to commence shortly, seeks to offer high-end lodging choices for tourists.
The government has constructed and managed the Tent City in the Mahakumbh Mela area to accommodate the needs of international tourists, VIPs, and regular pilgrims. The hostel will feature 50 tents in total, categorized into three types: 20 tents with 4 beds each, 10 tents with 6 beds each, and 20 tents with 8 beds each.
Each tent in this upscale hostel will measure between 250 and 400 square feet. UPSTDC will develop and manage these tents to the same high standards as the villas and super deluxe tents already established in Arail.
This guarantees that groups of tourists and pilgrims residing in these tents can enjoy top-notch amenities while having a pleasant stay together in the Mahakumbh region.
The luxury tents in the Mahakumbh Mela area will feature numerous high-end amenities such as air conditioning, double beds with mattresses, sofa sets, personalized interiors, writing desks, geysers, fire extinguishers, quilts and blankets, mosquito nets, Wi-Fi, a dining area, common seating, a waiting lounge, and a meeting lounge.
Visitors will also appreciate the tranquil river views, offering a delightful and awe-inspiring experience. In addition to lodging, UPSTDC will offer an array of activity packages at the MahaKumbh 2025.
These activities include the Sangam Boat Ride, Sofa Boat Ride, Banana Boat Ride, Cruise Ride, and the arrangement of religious ceremonies at Prayagraj Sangam. Furthermore, tourists can explore Prayagraj's rich religious and mythological history through specially designed tours.
