BJP Leaders Convene in Delhi to Strategize for Upcoming Assembly Elections

JP Nadda, the national president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), led a meeting with BJP general secretaries at the party's headquarters in the national capital on Tuesday.

A meeting at the BJP headquarters, overseen by BJP National President JP Nadda, took place late Monday night for about two hours. The session included BJP National General Secretaries and was held in New Delhi.

According to sources, talks were conducted about the Delhi Assembly elections, BJP's internal elections, and several other issues. Reports indicate that the BJP is expected to soon release its first list of candidates for the Delhi Assembly elections.

K Laxman Appointed as National Election Officer

Considering the upcoming organizational elections, Parliamentary Board member K Laxman has been designated as the National Election Officer. Both National Election Officer K Laxman and co-incharge Sambit Patra were present at the meeting.

The discussion also covered the 'Good Governance Day' program, which commemorates the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on December 25, and 'Veer Bal Diwas', according to sources.

The meeting was attended by Organization General Secretary BL Santosh, General Secretary Tarun Chugh, Dushyant Gautam, Radha Mohan Agarwal, BJP National General Secretary Vinod Tawde, and Arun Singh.

The Delhi Assembly elections are anticipated to take place in early 2025. The Aam Aadmi Party has already announced the list of all 70 candidates for these elections.

In the 2015 elections, AAP won 67 out of 70 seats, and in the 2020 assembly elections, they secured 62 seats. At the same time, the BJP raised its tally from three to eight seats, while the Congress failed to secure any seats for the second consecutive term.
