Shri Badrinath Dham: On the fourth day of preparations for the winter closure of Shri Badrinath Dham, the Embroidery Bhog was offered at Mata Lakshmi Temple in Uttarakhand on Saturday. Following the offering of the holy bhog as part of the grand closing ceremony, devotees sought blessings from Goddess Lakshmi for the safe return of Shri Badrinath to its sanctum sanctorum. The doors of the temple are set to close for the winter season on Sunday evening, attracting a large number of devotees to Badrinath.

By Saturday, over 7,000 pilgrims had visited the shrine for darshan, and the temple was beautifully adorned with flowers for the final celebrations of the year. The Panch Puja was conducted on Saturday afternoon, with the temple's head priests participating in the rituals. Rawal Amarnath Namboodiri, Dharmadhikari Radhakrishna Thapliyal, Vedpathi Ravindra Bhatt, Amit Bandolia, Sudhir Dimri (the Lakshmi temple priest), and Arvind Dimri presented an embroidered bhog while performing the required prayers.

The purpose of this ritual is to honour Goddess Lakshmi and seek her blessings for the prosperous and safe journey of the deity during the winter months. The grand closing ceremony of Shri Badrinath Dham, which marks the temple's annual winter holiday, is expected to conclude with the closure of the portals, after which the temple will remain closed till next spring.
