The Indian left-handed batter Yashasvi Jaiswal breaks silence on being ignored in India's squad in the ongoing Asia Cup 2025. He stated that all these decisions are to be taken by the selectors, and he can't do anything in this apart from working hard. When the squad for the ongoing tournament was announced, there were many talks about the youngster not being picked for the team despite being the most celebrated cricketer.

The Indian Test captain Shubman Gill made his way to the team and was appointed as vice captain. The inclusion of him made Sanju Samson leave his place in the opening slot and bat down the order. The thing did not end here; fans were not happy with Jaiswal and Shreyas Iyer's exclusion from the team.

In a recent conversation, Jaiswal said,

"I don't think about it. It's all in the hands of selectors. The decisions are taken according to the team combination. I will do whatever I can."

"When my time comes, things will fall into place. I just want to keep working on myself and keep working hard."

Jaiswal has emerged as the best opener for India in Tests in current times for the team. He always had a belief in himself and always knew that one day he would make it big in international cricket.

He said,

"I always had the belief that I would do something big. I will never stop. I will just keep working hard."

In the conversation, he also talked about scoring a century in front of his parents on the England tour and stated that milestone as a "truly special" moment in his life.

He said,

"My ultimate dream is to make the team win the World Cup. The T20 World Cup win in 2024 was truly special for me. We got such a good welcome in India when we came back home."

Jaiswal now will be seen in action in the upcoming two-match test series against the West Indies, which will start on October 2 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
