The Pakistan skipper Salman Ali Agha's team is all set to face India in the Super 4 after beating UAE in the league match, which was a decider for both the teams to lock their place in the Super 4. In their last group clash, Pakistan beat UAE by 41 runs. After this win, they will again be clashing with India on Sunday, September 21, in Dubai.
On 14 September, when India and Pakistan faced each other and India had won by seven wickets, it was seen that there was no handshake between the captains during the toss time and after the match. After all this handshake controversy and Pakistan's loss, there was a lot of pressure on them to improve their performance for upcoming games.
After Pakistan's win against UAE, the captain, Salman Ali Agha, feels that they're ready for any challenge in the next game against India.
He said,
"Yeah, we're ready for any challenge. We just want to play good cricket, and if we play good cricket like we've been playing for the last few months. I think we'll be good against any side."
Further, the Pakistan skipper stated about his team's inability to bat in middle overs.
He said,
"We got the job done, but we still need to bat better in the middle over. I think that's what has been concerning for us for a few games now. We need to look at that. We haven't batted our best yet, but we're still finding a way to score around 150. If we bat well in the middle over, we probably will end up scoring 170-180, no matter which team we are playing against. So yeah, the middle overs, if we bat well there, we will be very good."
Now, it will be very interesting to see what the result will be between India and Pakistan on September 21 at the Dubai International Stadium.the handshake happen between both the captains this time or not?
