The Indian cricket team is all set to play their last group stage match against Oman on September 19, but according to the latest reports, it is being stated that he might be rested in the next game. The Men In Blue have already made their place in the Super Four stage, and now the management is keen to save their pace attack player for tough matches ahead in the tournament.

Suryakumar Yadav's led team registered their first win in the tournament against UAE by nine wickets and a seven-wicket win against Pakistan on September 14, Sunday, at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. These two crucial wins helped India to lock their place in the qualification for Super 4. Their final league match will be against Oman on September 19, which will be considered mostly a practice one and a game that will be a rest game for key players.

The 31-year-old pacer is a key player for India in almost every format; against Pakistan, he took 2 wickets, giving away 28 runs. These wickets helped him to climb up the stairs to fourth spot, making him the fourth leading T20 international wicket taker. He now has 92 wickets in 72 matches at a 17.67 average.

Who will replace Jasprit Bumrah against Oman in Playing XI?

Now the question arises, if Jasprit Bumrah will be rested, then who will be given the chance in the Playing XI? According to the reports, either Arshdeep Singh, the highest wicket taker for India in T20Is, or Harshit Rana will be replacing Bumrah in the Playing XI. It will be a good chance for Arshdeep Singh to achieve the milestone of 100 T20I wickets at such a young age.
