The Asia Cup 2025 second clash is all set to take place between India and UAE, and on the other hand, Muhammad Waseem, the UAE skipper, is in no mood to take any pressure for their first match against India in the tournament. The UAE skipper believes that every team is strong, so every match is the same for them. Their focus is only to stick to their plan and take advantage of it at the right time. The UAE team has been performing well in cricket in recent years, and, like Afghanistan, they want to make their place among the top teams in Asia.

Qualifying for the 2022 T20 World Cup is an indication that the UAE team has made a lot of progress with their hard work over the years. This time too, they are trying to start the tournament well by learning from their past experiences.

Wasim said,

"We are not considering it a big match because all the teams in front of us are good. We will just stick to our plan and do what has to be done on that day. The rest of the result depends on the game."

Captain Muhammad Wasim believes that making a plan for just one player is not the right way. He said that the UAE team has made a strategy keeping in mind 6-7 important batsmen of the entire opposition team.

He clearly said,

"We have not made a separate plan for any one player. We are ready for the whole team. We will play cautiously against the bowlers who are expert in taking wickets and will adopt an aggressive approach wherever we get a chance. If the pitch helps spin, then our spinners can play an important role."

The UAE team is confident that the experience of playing in home conditions will prove beneficial for them.

Shubman Gill and Suryakumar Yadav

It is clear from this that the UAE team is looking at the match from a balanced perspective, where collective contribution is being given importance instead of individual performance.

India has skilled spin bowlers like Kuldeep Yadav, Varun Chakraborty, and Axar Patel. But UAE team captain Wasim believes that if there is dew, then the effect of spinners may be reduced.

According to him,

"When there is dew, the spinners' ball does not turn much. However, it depends on the weather and conditions. We have played a lot of cricket here, and we have a good understanding of the pitches and conditions here. Even though India and Pakistan have also played a lot of cricket here, this is our home ground. So we will try our best to take advantage of it."
