The second test of India and England will be played at Birmingham, but a day before that, in the press conference, England's captain, Ben Stokes, praised Indian wicketkeeper batter Rishabh Pant for how he handles situations freely.
Ben Stokes said in his press conference,
"Even though he is my opponent, I love watching Rishabh play cricket. I like the way he plays in all formats of the game. He had a lot of trouble in his time, but when you leave that kind of talent free, it can happen as it happened last week. He should be given credit for two centuries in the game."
Stokes also admitted that Pant is a very dangerous batsman, but he is also fully confident that England will have many opportunities to get Pant out whenever he comes to bat.
He said,
"We know that the way Rishabh plays, we will get chances. So yes, this is one of them. On any other day, if one of those would have gone straight up and into the hands, it could have looked a little different, but yes, he is a very dangerous player. We know what he brings to the Indian team, but I love watching Rishabh play cricket."
If we look at the classic knocks of the pant, he became the second wicketkeeper batter to score centuries in both innings against England at Headingley. In the first test, Pant played amazing innings in both innings; in the first innings, he scored 134 runs, and in the second, 118, and he was well supported by top-order batsmen who also scored centuries with their balls, which include the names of Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill, and KL Rahul. But despite scoring so many runs, India lost the match, and England achieved a wonderful victory.
