There have been many captains in the history of Indian cricket who have achieved success but the most successful captain among them is Mahendra Singh Dhoni. MSD's stint in the Indian team has been quite memorable. Dhoni is one of the greatest personalities in the cricket world at this time. He has not only left an impression in the hearts of people with his brilliant batting but has won the heart of every Indian cricket fan by winning three ICC trophies as the Indian captain. Under Dhoni's captaincy, India won the 2007 T20 World Cup, the 2011 ODI World Cup and the 2013 Champions Trophy.

Dhoni has retired from international cricket but he still plays franchise cricket and is part of Chennai Super Kings.

There is a lot of discussion about Dhoni's future in cricket. Now he himself has made it clear what his mindset will be before going into the IPL this season. "I have retired since 2019, so it will take a lot of time. "What I'm doing in the meantime is I want to enjoy cricket for the last few years, you know, I'll be able to play. "

He further said,

"I want to enjoy it, like I used to do in school as a child. When I lived in the colony, it was 4 pm playing time, so we would often go to play cricket, but if the weather didn't cooperate, we would play football. I want to play with that kind of innocence... (But) as easy as it is to say so, it is not as easy to do."

In the same interview, Dhoni also spoke about his main focus while representing and playing for India in international cricket and how important it is for young players to get their priorities right while representing the country. Dhoni said,

"As a cricketer, I always wanted to play for the Indian cricket team because as I have said before, not everyone gets an opportunity to represent the country. For us, as cricketers, whenever we went on the big stage or whenever we went on tour, we had the opportunity to win respect for the country and that's why for me the country always came first. "

Dhoni concluded,

"You should always find out what's good for you. When I was playing, I made sure that cricket is everything to me – nothing else matters. What time do I have to sleep? What time do I have to get up? How does it affect my cricket, that's the most important thing. "
