The International Cricket Council (ICC) has started celebrating the best performers in all formats of the game by announcing the 2024 award winners from Friday, January 24. The ICC has announced the ODI teams of the year in both the men's and women's categories as well as the men's Test team of 2024 on the first day. On January 25, they announced the best T20I teams and players of the year.
The ICC Awards 2024 will cover a total of 13 categories, honouring players who have excelled in the specific formats as well as in multiple formats in the overall categories. The individual awards were announced on Sunday in five different categories, selection based on voting by the ICC Voting Academy and fans. On January 27 (Monday), the ODI, Test and Cricketer of the Year awards and other awards will also be announced.
