Former South African skipper and legendary RCB batsman AB de Villiers hinted at his comeback after retirement from cricket. The 40-year-old known as 'Mr. 360' announced retirement from international cricket in 2018 but continued to play in the IPL. In 2021 he gave a shock to his fans after he announced retirement from every format.

However, de Villiers, in his recent interview, opened up about his possibility of playing cricket after his retirement. This news of his comeback has left his fans amazed, waiting for him to come back in action.

De Villiers on his comeback said,

"I might still play cricket one day. No confirmation whatsoever, but I'm starting to feel it. My kids are putting me under a bit of pressure, and I feel like I could go to the nets with them. If I enjoy it, maybe I'll walk out and go and play a little bit of casual cricket somewhere again and not professional IPL stuff or SA tour."

The main reason behind de Villiers's retirement was due to a problem in his eye. One day his son accidentally kicked him in his left eye, due to which he started facing problems in seeing and had to quit cricket. But he still looks forward to playing again and enjoying cricket.

"Who knows? But we'll see. I'm going to try it again and see if this eye is still working. It's a bit blurry, but this (the right one) is the dominant one, and it's working fine. So I'm doing it for my kids and see if I can go out there and enjoy cricket again."

When de Villiers was asked about his role model, Imran Tahir, still playing, he said he would ask him to be on his team.

"I'll maybe ask him to be in my team wherever I go. Just remember this: he's one of my favorite players. Nothing serious, though. We're not talking about RCB and big stuff. Yes, I don't want to feel that pressure again. That's the thing. So, wherever I go, I'll have a bit of fun."
