The Indian skipper Rohit Sharma spoke his heart out in a recent interview on Day 2 of the ongoing Sydney Test against Australia. He decided to opt out in the Sydney Test due to his poor form in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 and handed over the captaincy to Jasprit Bumrah for the fifth and final Test. When the first day of the Sydney Test was about to end, both Sam Konstas and Bumrah were involved in a verbal argument. After all this, Bumrah replied with a fiery spell in the next delivery, taking the wicket of Usman Khawaja. His wicket was celebrated by the whole Indian team, and Virat Kohli was seen energetic as always whenever a wicket falls of the opposition team.

Bumrah, who is known for his calm and composed nature, was also seen showing his emotions after taking the wicket of Khawaja. With this wicket, Day 1 ended on a beautiful note for India.

When Rohit was asked to comment on this matter, he came in support of his team and stated that the Australian player started poking Bumrah first. He stated that the boys will stay silent for a particular time, but if someone pokes them, then they will not stay silent, as all are here to play cricket. These kinds of things do not look nice.

Jasprit Bumrah vs Sam Konstas
"Humare ladek jab tak shaant hain tab tak shaant hain. Agar aap ungli kar rahe ho, tab thodi na koi shant baithega. Cricket khelo, yeh faaltu ki cheezein, yeh bol bachchan karna shobha nahi deta hai. Our boys are silent only till a particular time. If you are going to poke them, then they will retaliate. We all are here to play cricket. Please don't do such nonsense. These antics don't look nice.

Further, he said that the Indian boys focus on the given task and nothing else. Taking wickets was important at that moment so that Australia could feel pressure.

Jasprit Bumrah
"Humare ladke classy hain. Hum zyada iss baat pe focus karte hain ki humara kaam kya hai. Humare liye uss time zaroori tha ki ek-do wickets lene taaki jab morning session shuru ho tab Australia pe pressure bana rahe. (Our Indian boys are very classy. We only focus on the given task and nothing else. It was important for us to scalp one or two wickets at the moment in order to keep the pressure on Australia.)"

According to the recent updates, Jasprit Bumrah has gone to the hospital for the medical scans, and till then, Virat Kohli will take charge of the team as India's stand-in captain.
