The all-time legendary cricketer Kapil Dev, who led India to win the World Cup Title win in 1983 has offered some valuable advice to Indian players after their shocking defeat in the recent Test against New Zealand. This was the first time in the history where India suffered a whitewash at home that included three tests. The Indian batters struggled to put up a big target on the board for the Kiwis, which even invited a lot of criticism especially for senior places like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli.
Practice and practice and practice : Kapil Dev
To, this legendary all-rounder spoke on this and without mentioning any individual’s name, he gave them a very valuable advice that if a player is going through a rough patch, then the only way they can improve their game is by going back to the basics and practicing more.
“Go back to the basics. Practice and practice and practice. If you say I will improve by sitting in the room, then it is not going to happen. If you are going through a rough time, just practice more. The more you practice, the better it will be for you.”
Team India’s eye are now on the Border Gavaskar Trophy that will start from November 22 at Perth Stadium. Rohit Sharma & Co. will be looking forward to win this series and make it to the World Test Championship finals.
