Travis Head, Maxwell-Stoinis Clash Adds Humor to SRH's Record Chase Win

Travis Head and Maxwell-Stoinis had a funny altercation in the match

In the 27th match of IPL 2025, Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Punjab Kings chasing a huge target of 246 runs. During the match, there was a funny banter between SRH opener Travis Head and PBKS' Glenn Maxwell and Marcus Stoinis. Abhishek Sharma scored 141 runs off 55 balls to guide SRH to victory.

In the 27th match of IPL 2025, Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Punjab Kings in a spectacular run chase, but during this match, Australian sledging and fun banter was also seen. SRH opener Travis Head and PBKS all-rounders Glenn Maxwell and Marcus Stoinis got into a argument on the pitch. During the 9th over, there was some altercation between Head and Maxwell and Stoinis also joined in before the umpire came in the middle. It all seemed like a joke, though.  

Head spoke about a conversation he had with Maxwell and Stoinis at the post-match awards ceremony. "When you know each other well, you bring out both the good and the bad of each other, nothing too serious, just a little bit of fun," Head said. "

Talking about the match, SRH opener Abhishek Sharma played one of the most prolific innings in IPL history. Sunrisers Hyderabad chased down the second most successful run chase in IPL history with a mammoth target of 246 runs with eight wickets remaining against Punjab Kings on Saturday.

The key batsman in this historic chase was Abhishek Sharma, who played the best innings of his career with 141 runs off 55 balls and Travis Head batted with aggression while handling the innings at the other end.

Punjab Kings won the toss and batted aggressively. Captain Shreyas Iyer played a brilliant innings of 82 runs and in the end, thanks to Marcus Stoinis' short innings, the team's score reached 245. Even in the second innings, it became clear that this pitch would not give any help to the bowlers.
