Deloitte India: India's future is being shaped by individuals who dare to dream beyond boundaries and strive to realise their full potential.
On the 79th Independence day, Deloitte India reaffirmed its commitment to associating with diverse talent, exemplified by its partnership with 18-year-old Sheetal Devi, the world's first female Para archer without arms and a Paralympic medallist. Picking up a bow at 15 despite the mockery, she became World No. 1 at 16, earned the Arjuna Award and a Paralympic bronze at 17, Sheetal continues to break barriers, defy limits, and embody the freedom to dream, persevere, and achieve.
Romal Shetty, Chief Executive Officer, Deloitte South Asia, said, "India's greatest strength lies in its people, in their ability to dream big, rise above challenges, and turn possibilities into achievements. Sheetal's journey is a shining example of what can be achieved when resilience meets opportunity. At Deloitte India, our vision is to not just witness Bharat's progress, but to actively enable it beyond the metros by creating opportunities, building platforms and providing the right ecosystem where India's talent can thrive"
Sheetal Devi shared, "The journey to the podium is never just about one person, it's about those who believe in you and give you the confidence to aim higher. Every arrow I shoot is a reminder that no challenge is insurmountable. My journey has been shaped not just by my determination, but also by the support of people and organisations who believe in my potential. Deloitte India's encouragement is more than a gesture, it is a statement that talent, in all its forms, deserves to be seen, celebrated, and supported. I hope my story inspires others to embrace challenges, chase their dreams, and never underestimate the power of perseverance"
By celebrating and amplifying stories like Sheetal's, Deloitte India continues to invest in the country's most valuable resource, its people. Together, we can create a foundation where talent is nurtured, opportunities are unlocked to ensure that India's place on the world stage grows stronger.
