BSF officials told the press conference that during Operation Sindoor, women personnel fought bravely at the forward post. In a befitting reply to Pakistan's attacks, the BSF destroyed the Pak terror launch pad Mastpur. In memory of the martyrs, the post has been proposed to be named 'Sindoor'.

Today, Border Security Force (BSF) officials conducted a press conference. During the event, BSF Inspector General Jammu Shashank Anand stated, 'We are receiving numerous reports regarding terrorists returning to their launchpads and camps, as well as potential infiltration along the Line of Control (LoC) and International Border (IB). Security forces need to remain alert.'

BSF IG Jammu Shashank Anand stated that in Operation Sindoor, female BSF personnel took on frontline duties. Assistant Commandant Neha Bhandari led the forward post, with Constables Manjeet Kaur, Malkit Kaur, Jyoti, Sampa, Swapna, and others engaging in combat against Pakistan at the forward posts during the operation.

Proposal to name post after martyrs

BSF Sub-Inspector Mohammad Imtiyaz, Constable Deepak Kumar, and Indian Army Naik Sunil Kumar were casualties in the drone strike and shelling by Pakistan on BSF posts. It is suggested that two posts be named in honor of these fallen personnel, with one post to be called 'Sindoor'.

Additionally, BSF DIG Chitra Pal stated, "On May 9, Pakistan attacked several of our posts. Initially, they used flat trajectory weapons and mortars against us. They also targeted our village, Abdulian. Our BSF soldiers responded effectively. As the firing decreased, drone activities increased. In retaliation, the BSF targeted and destroyed the Pakistani terror launch pad at Mastapur."

BSF Deputy Inspector General Varinder Dutta stated that the attack inflicted injuries on numerous terrorists, their allies, Rangers, and officers. Shashank Anand, Inspector General of Police (BSF) Jammu, mentioned that on May 9, Pakistan initiated unprovoked firing in regions close to Akhnoor. Between May 9 and 10, Pakistan launched intense fire on the Akhnoor border, prompting the BSF to strategically target Pakistan's Luni terror launch pad.
