The Indian Army killed more than 100 terrorists by attacking terrorist bases in Pakistan and PoK under Operation Sindoor. 40 Pak soldiers were also killed in this action. The army warned that there will be a befitting response to ceasefire violations.
After a 25-hour ceasefire between India and Pakistan, the Indian Army on Sunday shared information about 'Operation Sindoor' and warned Pakistan of a befitting reply in case of another ceasefire violation. In a joint press conference of the three armies, Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) Lt Gen Rajiv Ghai, Vice Admiral AN Pramod and Air Marshal Awadhesh Kumar Bharti said that in this retaliation on May 7, terrorist bases in Pakistan and PoK were targeted. More than 100 terrorists were killed in this operation, including the main accused in attacks like Pulwama and Kandahar hijack. According to the army, 35-40 soldiers and officers of the Pakistani Army have also been killed in Operation Sindoor.
Action was intensified after the Pahalgam attack
Lt Gen Rajiv Ghai told the press conference that "You all know that the barbarity with which 26 innocent people were killed in Pahalgam shook the whole country. In response to the same, the Indian Army retaliated under Operation Sindoor on 7 May. The army targeted 9 terrorist hideouts across the border located in Pakistan and PoK. More than 100 terrorists were killed in these attacks, including three notorious terrorists linked to attacks like the Kandahar hijack and Pulwama.
Pak soldiers also suffered heavy losses, India lost 5 soldiers
In retaliation, the Indian Army killed 35 to 40 soldiers and officers of the Pakistani Army. Vice Admiral AN Pramod said that this operation was based on accurate intelligence and coordination. He also admitted that India has lost 5 of its soldiers in the firing of Pakistani Army on the LoC and the border. The Army Chiefs said in clear terms that if Pakistan violated the ceasefire again, India's response would be tougher and more decisive than before. DGMO Lt Gen Ghai said, "India wants peace but not weakness. If there is any nefarious act from across the border, then the enemy will have to pay the price. "
