A delegation of the Dawoodi Bohra community met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and thanked him for the Waqf Amendment Act. He expressed confidence in PM Modi's vision of 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas' and said it was a long-pending demand of the community.

Politics has heated up across the country over the Waqf Amendment Act. While the Modi government is calling this law necessary for the welfare of Muslims, many opposition parties including Congress and many Muslim organizations are calling the Waqf Amendment Act against Muslims. Petitions are also being heard in the Supreme Court against the Waqf Amendment Act. On the other hand, the people of Dawoodi Bohra community have met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and thanked him for the Waqf Amendment Act.

Waqf law not enacted overnight: PM Modi

On the Waqf law, PM Modi said- "I studied the Waqf law closely for 5 years ... More than 1700 complaints were received from the Muslim community. Most of the complainants were Muslim women. Some people were grabbing the property of the poor in the name of Waqf. There was a lot of discussion about the Waqf law, the Waqf law was not made overnight. "

Big hearing in the Supreme Court

On the other hand, the Central Government has received great relief in the Supreme Court regarding the Waqf law. The Supreme Court has refused to ban the Waqf law at the moment. A bench of Chief Justice Sanjiv Khanna, Justice PV Sanjay Kumar and Justice KV Vishwanathan said on Thursday that no new appointment will be made in Waqf till further orders. The government has been given seven days to respond.
