On Friday, Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena instructed the Anti-Corruption Bureau to investigate the Aam Aadmi Party's (AAP) accusation of "Operation Lotus" against the BJP. Reports indicate that the ACW team has not yet been permitted to enter the residence of AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal.

Additionally, the Aam Aadmi Party's website has been inaccessible for a while. This situation arises just a day before the Delhi Assembly election results, which are set to be announced on Saturday, February 5.

On Thursday, party MP Sanjay Singh alleged that the BJP offered Rs 15 crore each to seven AAP candidates to switch sides. The senior leader, without naming anyone, stated that the candidates received phone calls from the BJP on Wednesday, the day following the 70-member Assembly elections.

The LG's directive on Friday stemmed from a formal complaint lodged by Delhi BJP secretary Vishnu Mittal. He mentioned that the allegations put forth by Arvind Kejriwal and Sanjay Singh are extremely grave and require an immediate and comprehensive inquiry. He also stated that the AAP leaders have not presented any proof to back up their assertions.

The elections concluded two days ago, and by disseminating false and misleading information, they are attempting to incite panic and unrest in Delhi. He urged the Lt Governor to deploy the ACB for an investigation. Additionally, he summoned Kejriwal and Sanjay Singh, demanding a comprehensive inquiry into the issue.

Ashish Kundra, Principal Secretary to the Lt Governor, stated that Saxena has directed the ACB to investigate the claims. The directive came after a BJP complaint asserting that the 'allegations are unfounded and intended to tarnish the BJP's reputation and incite panic and disorder in Delhi right after the polling concluded.'
