The northeast district of the national capital had the highest turnout at 39.51 per cent, while the central district recorded the lowest at 29.74 per cent.

As reported by the Election Commission, by 1 pm, voter turnout was 35.44 percent in the South West district, 29.89 percent in New Delhi, 33.66 percent in the East, 32.44 percent in the North, 33.17 percent in the North West, 35.81 percent in Shahdara, 32.67 percent in the South, 32.27 percent in the South East, and 30.87 percent in the West.

In the by-election for the Milkipur Assembly constituency, a voter turnout of 44.59 percent was observed. Meanwhile, the by-election in the Erode (East) constituency in Tamil Nadu saw a voter turnout of 42.41 percent by 11 am.

The voting process commenced on Wednesday morning for by-elections in 70 Assembly seats in Delhi, as well as one seat each in Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh. Polling started at 7 a.m., with voters casting their ballots in all constituencies under stringent security measures.

In the midst of the voting process, AAP leader Saurabh Bhardwaj claimed that the Delhi Police were attempting to prevent individuals from voting at a polling station in Chirag Delhi.

While addressing the media, Bhardwaj alleged that the police are setting up barricades at all 17-18 polling stations in Chirag Delhi and attempting to sway the election.

Nonetheless, DCP (South) Ankit Chauhan stated that the police will investigate the issues brought up by the AAP leader. Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh claimed that one of his party members, Uday Gill, who had recently joined the party, was detained by the police 'without any cause'.
