Maha Kumbh Day 3: Flower Shower on Devotees at Triveni Sangam

On the third day of the 45-day Maha Kumbh, which began on January 13, devotees took a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam. In the first two days of Maha Kumbh 2025, more than 5 crore devotees have taken the holy dip. During the first Amrit Snan of Mahakumbh 2025 on Makar Sankranti, the Uttar Pradesh government led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath organized a grand flower shower from helicopter, showering rose petals on crores of devotees on the Sangam beach. Flowers were showered on all the ghats and akharas. The devotees were overwhelmed by the sight of the shower of rose petals and they raised slogans of Jai Shri Ram and Har Har Mahadev.

CM Yogi Adityanath Expressed Gratitude

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath described the Mahakumbh as a symbol of immense power and faith of Sanatan Dharma. The Chief Minister said that on the first day of Amrit Snan, more than three and a half crore revered saints and devotees earned the virtue of bathing in the eternal and holy Triveni Sangam. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed his gratitude to all the departments and organizations involved in the successful organization of the first Amrit Snan of Mahakumbh. He also thanked all the venerable akharas associated with Mahakumbh, Maha Kumbh Mela administration, local authorities, police administration, sanitation workers, voluntary organizations, religious institutions, boatmen and all departments of the Central and State Government.

Tight Police Security

More than 10,000 security personnel, including local police and paramilitary forces, have been deployed for security at the mega Kumbh Mela. The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has deployed a "water ambulance" at Sangam to ensure the safety of the devotees. Equipped with medical facilities and manned by doctors and NDRF officials, the ambulance will operate 24/7 during the entire event. Underwater drones and 2,700 AI-enabled cameras have been installed in and around the Mela area to enhance security.
