Compensation to Families of those Killed in Pauri Bus Accident
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has announced assistance of Rs 5 lakh each to the families of those killed in the Pauri bus accident, the Chief Minister's Office said. The CMO said, "Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami has directed to provide immediate assistance of Rs 5 lakh to the families of the deceased and Rs 1 lakh to the seriously injured in the Pauri bus accident." CM Dhami held a meeting with senior officials at the camp office on Tuesday on a complaint related to mismanagement in providing proper treatment to the injured in the bus accident at Pauri Hospital.
Action against Negligent Officers and Employees
CM Dhami has also asked the District Magistrate of Pauri to report the matter and has also instructed to provide all basic facilities in the hospital immediately. The Uttarakhand CM has also sought a report from the District Magistrate of Pauri in this matter, as well as said that all kinds of facilities should be provided for emergencies in the hospital while taking action against negligent officers and employees. CM Pushkar Dhami said that now a network of health services is available far and wide in Uttarakhand. In such a situation, there should be no shortage of treatment of seriously ill or injured people in hospitals.
Five killed in Bus Accident in Pauri Garhwal District
Along with basic facilities, availability of essential medicines and medical staff should be ensured at all times in hospitals across the state. The Chief Minister also directed to investigate the cause of the bus accident and take action in case of negligence on the part of the officials of the Transport Department. Five people were killed in a bus accident in Uttarakhand's Pauri Garhwal district on Sunday when the vehicle lost control and fell into a 100-metre-deep gorge near the Dahalchori area. Pauri Garhwal District Magistrate Ashish Chauhan said that five people were killed and more than 10 injured in the accident. The bus was on its way from Pauri to Dahalchori when it lost control and fell into a 100-meter deep ditch.
