Recently a video of a "Dharmik Chor" is doing rounds on social media. As per the viral video, a thief from Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh was seen performing a 15-minute pooja before stealing a silver crown from Hanuman Ji's temple. The entire act was captured on CCTV.

The video was shared on X by user Sachin Gupta, along with the caption, “Uttar Pradesh: In Mirzapur district, a thief sat in a temple for 15 minutes and prayed & then stole the silver crown of Hanuman ji.”
In the footage, a man is seen sitting inside the temple with his hands clasped, pretending to pray. After completing his mock ritual, he approaches the Hanuman idol and carefully removes the silver crown.
To avoid any suspicion, the thief briefly steps outside and scans the area to make sure no one is observing. As soon as the nearby person leaves, the thief quickly comes back, seizes the crown, and makes a getaway.
This incident offers a mix of humor and surprise, leaving people amused and curious about the thief’s mindset.
