Since 2007, the minimum temperature has remained below 7 degrees.
Weather experts forecast that the temperature in 2025 is expected to be approximately 6°-7°C. A cold wave is expected to begin in some northern Indian states, with those near the Himalayas potentially experiencing severe cold conditions. Thick fog is expected to appear in scattered areas across several states, particularly in Himachal Pradesh on December 30 and 31.

On Saturday at 4 pm, the 24-hour AQI was recorded at 135, which falls under the 'moderate' category. An AQI ranging from zero to 50 is deemed 'good', 51 to 100 is 'satisfactory', 101 to 200 is 'moderate', 201 to 300 is 'poor', 301 to 400 is 'very poor', and 401 to 500 is classified as 'severe'.
