Maharashtra Chief Minister (CM) Devendra Fadnavis, on the occasion of Veer Bal Diwas, paid his heartfelt floral tributes to the Sahibzades of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the tenth Guru of the Sikhs, at his official residence in Mumbai today.
Similarly, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath marked Veer Bal Diwas by bringing a copy of Shri Guru Granth Sahib to his government residence.
Meanwhile, Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami emphasised the immortal sacrifice of Baba Zorawar Singh ji and Baba Fateh Singh on this occasion.
In a post on X, Dhami expressed, "On Veer Bal Diwas, dedicated to the immortal sacrifice of Baba Zorawar Singh Ji and Baba Fateh Singh Ji, we pay our heartfelt tribute to their bravery, indomitable courage, and unmatched sacrifice."
He further added, "Your sacrifice for the protection of religion and the honour of the motherland is a priceless heritage of humanity. Your glorious story will continue to teach the coming generations the lessons of truth, fearlessness, and devotion to duty."
Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid homage to the 'Sahibzadas' on Thursday, commemorating their courage and sacrifice on the occasion of 'Veer Baal Diwas'.
The Prime Minister also participated in the event held at Bharat Mandapam in the national capital to commemorate Veer Baal Diwas. He engaged with the 2024 awardees of the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar.
Earlier today, during a ceremony at the Rashtrapati Bhavan Cultural Centre, President Droupadi Murmu presented the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar to 17 children in seven different categories for their exceptional achievements.
At this event, PM Modi will also launch the Suposhit Gram Panchayat Abhiyan.
The PMO's press release stated that the Suposhit Gram Panchayat Abhiyan seeks to enhance nutritional results and overall health by bolstering the delivery of nutrition-related services and ensuring active involvement from the community.
The statement also highlighted that various events will be held across the country to engage young people, increase awareness of the day's significance, and foster a spirit of courage and dedication to the nation.
According to the reports, a variety of online competitions, such as interactive quizzes, will be held via the MyGov and MyBharat Portals. Various engaging activities such as storytelling, creative writing, and poster-making will be hosted by schools, childcare institutions, and Anganwadi centres.
It is to be noted that on January 9, 2022, Prime Minister Modi had declared that December 26 would be observed as 'Veer Bal Diwas' to honor the bravery of Sahibzades, the sons of Guru Gobind Singh, and their pursuit of justice.
