Farmers across Punjab to hold rail roko agitation today. Under this, farmers will protest at 23 places. This movement is being done in support of the ongoing farmers' protest on the Shambhu and Khanauri borders of Haryana-Punjab. Train services on Delhi-Amritsar, Delhi-Jammu, Delhi-Jalandhar, and Delhi-Ferozepur are likely to be affected due to the strike. Railway officials have said that the route of trains will be diverted according to the situation. Trains can be canceled.
Farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher had appealed to Punjabis to participate in the 'rail roko' agitation. He had asked the farmers to close the nearest railway crossings and railway stations from 12 to 3 pm. Pandher has also written a letter to the Rakesh Tikait-led Samyukta Kisan Morcha.

Bhopal: Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the central government is making constant efforts to increase the income of farmers. Many schemes are being implemented.
