Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday hit out at Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra for carrying a bag with "Palestine" written on it, saying Uttar Pradesh is sending youths to Israel, while the Congress is roaming around with a bag. Speaking in the Assembly, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said, "A Congress leader was roaming around with a bag written Palestine in Parliament, while we are sending the youth of Uttar Pradesh to Israel. So far, more than 5600 youth from UP have gone to Israel for construction work. Every youth is getting free housing and food, Rs 1.5 lakh per month salary and complete security is also guaranteed.

Symbol is Associated with Palestine

A controversy erupted on Monday when Priyanka Gandhi was carrying a bag during the Parliament session. The bag had "Palestine" written on it and had several symbols attached to it, including watermelon, a symbol often associated with Palestinian solidarity. Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Monday condemned the BJP's remark that she carried a bag with "Palestine" written on it and termed it as "nonsense". Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said the BJP-led central government should take some steps regarding the atrocities being committed against minorities and Hindus in Bangladesh. "Atrocities against minorities and Hindus in Bangladesh... Something has to be done about it.

Israel-Palestine Engaged in Continuing Conflict

Talks should be held with the Bangladesh government about this... And they should not talk nonsense. Since October 2023, Israel-Palestine has engaged in a continuing conflict after Hamas attacked Israel and captured its citizens. According to a statement by the Ministry of External Affairs, India has strongly condemned the terrorist attacks on Israel on October 7, 2023, and the loss of civilian lives in the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict. India's policy towards Palestine has been long-standing and consistent. According to the Ministry of External Affairs, India has supported a two-state solution through negotiations towards the establishment of a sovereign, independent and viable State of Palestine within secure and recognised borders, living in peace with Israel.
