Virendra Sachdeva Questions Bhagwant Mann

Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva has written to Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, asking him whether his government had fulfilled the promises made during the assembly elections. In the letter, the BJP leader asked the Punjab CM whether the Punjab government was giving Rs 1000 to women as part of its 'five guarantees' made in the 2022 elections.

"I am writing this letter to remind you that during the campaign for the Punjab Assembly elections in February 2022, you as the leader of your political party, the Aam Aadmi Party, had announced 5 guarantees for the people of Punjab. One of those guarantees was that your party would give an allowance of Rs 1,000 per month to women above 18 years of age if voted to power," Sachdeva wrote in the letter.

Some Important Questions

He also said he was "confident" that he had fulfilled the promises he had made to the women, and asked them three questions about the scheme. "1. Is the Punjab government giving a monthly allowance of Rs 1000 as part of its 5 guarantees announced by the AAP during the campaign in February 2022? 2. What is the name of the scheme for women in Punjab under which a monthly allowance is being given to women? 3. When was the last time the Punjab government distributed monthly allowance to women of Punjab?"

Virender Sachdeva wrote a letter!

It is written in the letter. Earlier on December 12, BJP's Sachdeva hit out at the Aam Aadmi Party and its national convener Arvind Kejriwal, accusing them of making "false promises" about providing financial assistance to women in Punjab and Delhi. Sachdeva said the BJP has been providing financial assistance to women in several states, be it Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Odisha or Maharashtra.

"Before the Punjab elections, AAP had announced that it would provide some funds to the women of the state. But has anyone ever received a single rupee? They cry over the meagre amount of government funding. In the run-up to the Lok Sabha elections, Arvind Kejriwal had promised to give Rs 1,000 to women. "

Sachdeva Attacked AAP

Sachdeva further attacked the AAP, saying if they had to give financial assistance, they would have given it immediately after the Lok Sabha polls. He said, "Arvind Kejriwal, if you had to give it, you could have given it by filling the form after the Lok Sabha elections. It's been two years since the AAP government came to power in Punjab, but they have never given them a single penny. So the people of Delhi know your false promises very well and now they only believe in 'Modi's guarantee'," he said. "
