In Uttar Pradesh, police have beefed up security ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit today. As part of his visit, Prime Minister Modi will visit Prayagraj and offer prayers and darshan at Sangam Noj at around 12:15 pm. According to a release issued by the Prime Minister's Office, after this, at around 12:40 pm, Prime Minister Modi will worship at the Akshay Banyan tree and after that he will visit Hanuman Temple and Saraswati Koop. At around 1:30 pm, Prime Minister Modi will visit the Mahakumbh exhibition site. At around 2 pm, Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate and inaugurate several development projects worth about Rs 5500 crore in Prayagraj.
"PM Modi will inaugurate various projects for Maha Kumbh 2025. It will include various rail and road projects such as 10 new Road Over Bridges (ROBs) or flyovers, permanent ghats and riverfront roads to boost infrastructure and provide seamless connectivity in Prayagraj. Prime Minister Modi will also inaugurate projects for interception, exploitation, diversion and treatment of small drains leading to river Ganga, which will ensure zero discharge of untreated water into the river. He will also inaugurate various infrastructure projects related to drinking water and power.
Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate major temple corridors, which will include Bharadwaj Ashram corridor, Shringverpur Dham corridor, Akshayavat corridor, Hanuman temple corridor etc. These projects will ease the accessibility of devotees and will also boost spiritual tourism. Prime Minister Modi will also launch the Kumbh Sahayak chatbot, which will provide detailed information to guide and update devotees about the events of Maha Kumbh Mela 2025.
The Maha Kumbh, which is held once in every 12 years, will start from January 13 and end on February 26, 2025 in Prayagraj. The main bathing festival, known as the "Shahi Snan", will take place on January 14 (Makar Sankranti), January 29 (Mauni Amavasya) and February 3 (Basant Panchami).
