Union Home Minister Pays Tribute To Martyrs
On Tuesday, Union Ministers Amit Shah and Rajnath Singh honored the security personnel who courageously battled the terrorists during the 26/11 terror attacks.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah honored the memory of the fallen heroes of the attack. "On this day in 2008, cowardly terrorists dishonored humanity by taking the lives of innocent people in Mumbai. I offer my sincere tribute to the soldiers who were martyred while combating the terrorists in the 26/11 Mumbai attacks and honor those who lost their lives."
Calling terrorism a 'stain on all of human civilization,' he emphasized India's emergence as a global leader in counter-terrorism efforts.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh Also Paid Tribute
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh also paid tribute to all the security personnel who sacrificed their lives during the 26/11 terror attack.
He said, "On the anniversary of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, the country honors the memory of those who perished on that tragic day. We pay tribute to the brave security personnel who fought valiantly and made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. We remember and will never forget those scars."
Today marks the 16th anniversary of the 26/11 attacks, a series of coordinated terrorist assaults carried out by ten Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists on the Taj Hotel, Oberoi Trident Hotel, Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, Leopold Cafe, Mumbai Chabad House, Nariman House, Cama Hospital, and Metro Cinema.
Notably, the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks in 2008 led to the deaths of at least 174 people, including 20 security personnel and 26 foreigners, and injured more than 300 others.
Ten militants from Lashkar-e-Taiba reached Mumbai by sea from Pakistan and carried out a series of coordinated attacks on India's financial center.
