Hyderabad's Niloufer Hospital has introduced an AI-based non-invasive blood test that provides health information in just 60 seconds without needles and blood. This technology developed by Quick Vitals is capable of measuring multiple health indicators from facial scanning through a mobile application called 'Amrit Swasth Bharat'.

Hyderabad's Niloufer Hospital has taken a historic initiative. The hospital has introduced an AI-based non-invasive blood test for the first time in India. The test requires no needles, no blood, no lab tests, and in just 60 seconds, the technology can provide essential health information.

This technology, developed by healthtech startup Quick Vitals , has been named 'Amrit Swasth Bharat'. It is a mobile application that gives many health-related information through facial scanning. The procedure uses a technique called photoplethysmography (PPG), which can read the body's internal state from changes in the absorption of light in the skin.

This app can measure these signals

Through 'AMRUT Swasth Bharat', users can measure the following health indicators:

1-Blood Pressure

2-Oxygen Saturation (SpO2)

3-Heart Rate

4-Respiration Rate

5-Heart rate variability (HRV)

6-HbA1c (indicator of blood sugar)

7-Stress Levels

8-Pulse Respiratory Coefficient (PRQ)

9-Activation of the autonomic nervous system

'Selfie-like' process

Harish Bisam, founder of Quick Vitals, explains that this test is so intuitive that any person can take it like a selfie with a mobile camera. Especially in rural and backward areas, where there is a lack of health facilities, this technology can prove to be a boon.

First launch at Niloufer Hospital

The first launch of this technology was done at Niloufer Hospital in Hyderabad. According to Dr Ravi Kumar, superintendent of the hospital, this system is extremely beneficial for quick screening of children and pregnant women. At the same time, Dr. Santosh Kralet, member of the National Medical Commission, says that with this technique, diseases that are commonly ignored like anemia can also be identified earlier.

Continuous monitoring from wearable sensors

This app is not limited to camera scanning only. It also facilitates continuous monitoring with contact-based wearable PPG sensors, allowing the patient's health status to be continuously monitored, without having to undergo repeated tests.

Prioritizing Data Security

1-Quick Vitals claims that this app fully complies with Indian data protection laws.

2- Users' data is encrypted.

3. Information is shared only with registered health professionals.

4-Multiple users can be registered on one device.

Started in Maharashtra

According to Quick Vitals, this technology will now be rolled out in Maharashtra as well. The company aims to spread this technology across the country to make fast, accurate and accessible health check-ups accessible to every citizen.

Revolutionary Change in Health Sector

In a vast country like India where labs and testing facilities are limited in rural areas, this technology is emerging as an innovation.

2-Saving time and resources

3 - Protect children and women from repeated needles

4. End the long queues and wait for reports

5-Testing now possible only from mobile

Preparation for use in government campaigns

Plans are being made to link 'Amrit Swasth Bharat' with National Health Mission, POSHAN Abhiyan and school health programs. If this happens then this technology can reach every school, panchayat building and Anganwadi center and make health check-up very easy and cheap.

Step Towards Inclusive and Smart Healthcare

This initiative is a step towards making the healthcare system in India accessible, effective and digital. In the coming time, when this technology spreads across the country, the need for expensive and time-consuming tests will be almost eliminated. Especially citizens living in remote areas will benefit greatly from this.
