The two-month break to shield us from the intense heat has ended, and now the branches have resumed with great enthusiasm and energy. Grandparents from each branch uniquely showcased their excitement on VNKC's Facebook page alongside their grandchildren. Additionally, everyone shared their sentiments on the occasion of August 15th.
It's surprising that our members aren't fond of vacations; they find them quite dull. However, considering their well-being, we schedule breaks during extreme cold or heat. The first 10-15 days are manageable for everyone, but soon the branch head starts calling, or the members' helpline buzzes with complaints about not wanting to work, which is quite challenging. We somehow manage to get through our vacations. Every year, I arrange online competitions for them, but this time I was too busy to do so. Nevertheless, calls started pouring in from everyone. So, instead of organizing a competition, I asked everyone to create and send videos. The reward for everyone is that all the grandparents and children participated. We will meet them and offer encouragement.
Despite the branches being open, the heavy rain poses a risk of slipping. I encourage everyone to be careful. It's advisable to stay indoors during rain, but if you need to go out, be sure to carry an umbrella and wear non-slip shoes. Steer clear of slippery spots. A grandson told me his grandmother always desires pakoras during the rainy season and asked me not to reveal his name to avoid upsetting her. I gently suggested that this is a great time to enjoy life, so if she wishes, let her have some pakoras. If possible, prepare a small portion of kheer for her. If she's in good health, there's no harm, and if it makes her happy, she should enjoy it. However, I advise everyone to consider their health before indulging. It's wiser to eat light, but if you have a craving, enjoy it in moderation. Honestly, writing this makes me want pakoras too, but I'll limit myself to a few. My point is, at this age, satisfy your desires but in moderation. If you have conditions like high blood pressure, diabetes, cholesterol, or uric acid, consult your doctor before eating. Exercise regularly for 10-15 minutes. Stay healthy, active, and happy.
