New Delhi: On Tuesday, gold prices increased for the fourth consecutive session, reaching a new peak of Rs 1,00,000 per 10 grams due to ongoing demand for safe-haven investments. However, on April 23, 2025, the price of gold has dropped. Today, the price of 24-carat gold in Delhi is Rs 98,500 per ten grams. Meanwhile, silver prices are also soaring, with today's price surpassing Rs 1 lakh per kg.

Gold price at record high

Investors turned to safe haven assets after US President Donald Trump hinted at a plan to reform the Federal Reserve amid fears of a global trade war. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold for August delivery jumped by Rs 2,048, or 2.1 per cent, to a new peak of Rs 1,00,000 per 10 grams in mid-session trade. Later, gold prices rose by Rs 1,838, or 1.88 per cent, to Rs 99,790 per 10 gram.
